This is a great product, a second winter coming up and looking forward to a smoother heat.
Yes smoother...this Gem distributes heat more efficiently and from floor to ceiling...smoother!
Even with electric baseboard heat in our home this unit heats our top level over 1250 Sq. feet.
1500 watts instead 4000+...think about it.
A good product, company and support...a pleasure, thanks!

I disagree with a previous review. I just plugged the unit into an appliance load tester and it used zero watts when sitting there plugged in but turned off. It went to 1,500 watts when turned on and fell again to zero when I shut if off. I've only had the unit less than a week so I've yet to form an opinion on it overall

We purchased this heater in Oct thinking that it would save us money by allowing us to keep our home therm on a lower setting, using less oil. We used it for one month and, while it did not really warm up the room it did take the chill off. After we had been using it for a month we received our electric bill & were shocked to discover that our electric bill was $200.00 more then it would usually be. The same day we got the astronomical bill we turned the heater off & did not turn it on again. The next month we received another bill that was for roughly the same amount. We could not understand what was going on. I asked my husband to unplug the Infrared heater the day we got the 2nd bill. We just received our 3rd electric bill since getting the heater & in the month since we uplugged it our electric bill went down $150.00. Unplugging the heater is the only change we made to our electricity usage. This heater is definately not a money saver, it is an ENERGY HOG!

CZ infrared |

I am extremely happy with my CZ infrared heater. My home is approximately 900 sq ft, and well insulated. I live in the pacific northwest, since purchasing my CZ infrared I have seen a decrease in my electric bill of $40-$55 a month compared to using my standard basebord heating. I am planning to purchase many more for friends and family as we could all use a break in our monthly bills through this tough economic time.

I've had it for one week, now the temperature outside is dropping and my apt is staying toasty with no other heat source but this one. I'm very impressed!
